I have found in the past that it can be convenient to use a pop-up form for new records. It does this to force PK autonumber key to be generated saved.
The goal is to teach you some basic HTML form elements and how their data is accessible to you in your PHP scripts.
So I have added an unbound invisible checkbox to my form which is initialised to false.
In the Before update event I check whether it is true or not and if it isn't I CANCEL the update.
I'm new to Access VBA, and have created a form using the Form Wizard that displays records in a table. The behavior that I get with the form, though, is that updates to the records occur automatically when I move around records.
What I'd like is to have the updates occur only when I click an "Update" button that I put in the form.

Not like Excel which only saves the spreadsheet when you choose to save or exit.
