First, check the statutorily rape laws where you live, you don’t want to find out the hard way that if they make a mistake and sleep together, he will be going away to jail.

Second, if the laws are reasonable, what about inviting the girl and her mom out to ice cream with you and your son?

I wouldn’t worry to much as long as they are not having sex.

I think guys tend to date younger because they aren’t as mature.

My 16 year old is dating a 13 year old girl from a different school. Ask him if his friends have girlfriends and what age they are? Even molestation charges could be an issue with her specific age b/c she is 13.

He told me this a couple days ago and i'm not sure how to respond. And ask him if there is anyone in his cohort he fancies? I know my 16 yr old was roasting one of his buddies for dating a girl in the 8th grade. Internet privacy as well (depending on how they communicate..chatting or texting..fully clothed, if it looks like grooming could be a problem).

I also started dating a guy who was 16 the week I turned 14 and we dated for 3 years.

We're been getting on fine for quite a while now and don't really notice the age difference when we're together.

The only bad this is that I can't really go out with him at night (except for gigs), but then again, this means we give each other more space and less likely to get sick of each other any time soon. I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 18 and I think it's a fine age difference But with a 20 year old, except in really rare cases I think you'd probably have less in common with them, although it's still okay whether you are dating an 18 year old or a 20 year old, when it comes to love, age shouldnt stand in the way!

16 and/or an 18 year old dating a 20 year old is fine I know a 21 year old who married a 30 year old. if you really are in love with him'her, or get on with him/her well, age doesnt matter.

Thats a bit too much of a gap in my opinion, but if you're happy with them then age shouldn't matter When it's a 16 year old dating a 20 year there's such a massive experience and maturity gap whether it be university or work. you should feel comfortable around them and just have fun with them!

I think the age difference is too much, but i don't know if i should have him break it off. Even at that age they know that 'they are only dating a younger girl because they couldn't get someone in their grade to date them'. If age of consent in your state is particularly strict..are more than 2 years apart. Even most of those states listed as no "close in age" exemption statute have one by judicial decisions.

And it’s not even close: by our estimates, a senior’s chances of experiencing abuse in the real world are less than 1/1000th of their chances of being targeted for a scam online.… continue reading »
