Painted glass
One of the varieties of transparent colored float glass is colored glass. The name itself suggests that pigment substances were added to its molten mass during manufacture.
Compounds of metals act as dyes. For example, iron oxide gives the finished product a bronze tint, copper oxide — greenish blue, cobalt oxide — a persistent blue color.
